How would a warm current affect the winters of a coastal city at a latitude nearer the polar regions?

Public Comments

  1. It helps to moderate the air temperature. Warm air coming of the water and hitting a cold land mass might also produce fog.
  2. It could also effect precipitation and storm patterns. Cold fronts when mixed with warm fronts usually produce unstable weather patterns (storms). Depending on how long and how warm it could effect some fish migration patterns as well.
  3. IT WOULD MODERATE THE COLDER TEMPERATURE. THE WARMTH FROM THE WATER WOULD WARM THE CITY AIR.
