osha codes/is there a certain nail gun that cannot be used in construction sites in coastal regions?

Public Comments

  1. I am not sure about an OSHA code, but most coastal building codes require that you use a framing nail gun that shoots a "full head" nail. Most of the newer guns do this. The reason is that the full head nail holds better.
  2. Dont use nail guns for outdoor projects near saltwater, the nails rust in the salt air and stain the wood
  3. what is the drips suggestion then? glue a house together? aj is right on the full head design for the fasteners, but check with your local building inspector for the requirements in your area. you can get galvinized nails or stainless steel for the nail gun anyways. good luck, hope this helps.
