1. The Gulf Stream originates in the Caribbean and flows north toward Great Britain. This warmer water greatly contributes to the warmer climate of the British Isles when compared to other locations with the same latitude.
2. The temperature of the current either warms up or cools down the surrounding air which makes the climate either warmer or cooler.
