Why have most indians settled in the coastal regions, the Deccan Plateau, and the Indo-Gangetic Plain?

1. A is the only possible choice. Not all of the areas listed are arid, the Monsoon brings winds and rain to all of India, not just the areas named, and some of the regions have no barriers to invasions and have been invaded more than once.
2. A) Much of the rest of India is not well suited for human habitation. India has three geographic regions: The Indo-Gangetic Plain, the Deccan Plateau and the Himalayas. The coastal regions can be considered a fourth region. The Himalaya region is not well suited for human habitation.
