Now using the problems facts. 1 cm = 80 000 cm on the map. 80 000 ---------> 1 cm 300 000 (3km) --------> X 300 000 multiply by 1 and divided by 80 000 = x x= 3.75 cm The answer: the cities would be 3.75 cm apart.
