can a topographic map have resources?
i have this project and i am supposed to make a topographic map. they want me to put resources on there... but first i have to know if i can do that. also... can i put the names of the beaches and mountains on it? and what else is supposed to be on a topographic map other than lines?

- A topo map can't "have" resources, but it can certainly show resources. It depends what type of resources you are referring to - minerals, water, oil, forests, etc. Each of the resources will have its own unique symbol, for example crossed shovels for a mine, an oil well for oil, trees for forests etc. Normally a topo map shows elevation contours, water courses, and sometimes roads, railroads, vegetation, powerlines, airports, pipelines, docks, bridges, and other features - depending on the scale and detail. Every map needs a date, title, scale, and north arrow. The names of water bodies are italicized, everything else is not.
